A Client's Success Story

Once we reach midlife the things we used to get away with can catch up to us. Menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, sleeplessness, mood swings and aches and pains can all be minimized through lifestyle changes. I’ve been in the health and fitness industry since 2001. I’ve helped hundreds of people and I want to help even more. Everything I’ve learned in the last 22 years has prepared me to reach more people and either prevent or reverse disease and dysfunction that is within our control, and much of it is. I’ve created The 6 Pillars of Wellness to be a simple, holistic approach to a happy and healthy second half of life. Working with clients one-on-one has been the mainstay of my business for the last 22 years. I love to see my clients in my studio everyday. Now I want to reach more people and online coaching has allowed me to do that. I now work with clients all over the US and we are making changes in their lifestyles. The 6 Pillars of Wellness 12-week program is a way for me to reach even more clients at one time but still keep the program customized and results driven.

Here’s what my client Michelle said after completing the last 6 Pillars of Wellness 12-week program this past spring.

“Before we met, I was in a bad spot. I was really struggling, I tried a variety of things, I just couldn’t get anything to become habit forming. I was definitely not comfortable in my own skin.I was confused about what to eat and when to eat and my sleep. My sleep was just awful. It’s funny, I don’t even know if I know how bad it was, verses being on the other side. Now I look back and go, it was actually worse than what I originally thought. When I saw your program, I thought, this seems like a foundation. This seems like maybe I have the ability to figure this out. It’s not one thing, it's multipronged. When I think about the Pillars, that’s what I think, what it gave me was a foundation to grow from. It was in steps. It wasn’t so overwhelming. I follow my Pillars and I get my sleep and eat nutritiously. I didn’t think I could incorporate intermittent fasting but I do. I am so strict with it, but strict in a positive way because I now wake up feeling energetic. I don’t feel hungry. I’m into a size 8. I was 12, and it’s funny, it’s not the weight loss, it’s the shape of my body. I have my waist back. It’s incredible! My bum is firmer, there’s just things that fit differently in my pants.You have to not worry about where you’re starting, you just take the leap of faith of where you’re going. And acknowledge the baby steps, acknowledge it, every little chance you get to say something positive to yourself is important. Yes it’s a leap of faith but be committed and not just because you want to weigh less or look better but be committed because you know you’re going to feel better on the other side.”
